1. Introduction

GlugHub ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how GlugHub — a hydration tracking application for iOS ("the App") — handles information.

GlugHub is designed with privacy as a foundational principle: the App operates entirely offline, stores all data exclusively on your device, and does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information with us or any third party.

3. Information We Do Not Collect

GlugHub is a completely offline application. We do not collect, receive, transmit, or store any personal information on our servers — because we have no servers that receive your data. Specifically, GlugHub does not collect, process, or transmit:

  • Personal identifiers (name, email, phone number, IP address)
  • Device identifiers or advertising identifiers (IDFA, IDFV)
  • Location data
  • Health or biometric data via HealthKit or any health service
  • Camera, microphone, photos, contacts, or calendar data
  • Crash reports or diagnostic data sent to our servers
  • Analytics or behavioural tracking data
  • Advertising data of any kind
  • Any data via third-party SDKs, analytics platforms, or advertising networks

GlugHub makes zero network calls. No data ever leaves your device through the App.

4. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

All data generated through your use of GlugHub is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's Core Data framework and iOS UserDefaults. This data never leaves your device and is never accessible to us.

4.1 Hydration Data

  • Daily water intake log entries (volume and timestamp)
  • Optional short notes attached to log entries
  • Daily progress summaries (total intake, goal, completion status)

4.2 Preferences and Settings

  • Daily water intake goal (millilitres or fluid ounces)
  • Unit preference (metric or imperial)
  • Notification reminder settings

4.3 Gamification Data

  • Hydration streaks, levels, experience points, and virtual currency
  • Achievement unlock status and progress
  • Virtual plant state (species, nickname, growth stage, health)

5. Third-Party Services and SDKs

GlugHub uses no third-party SDKs, libraries, or services. The App is built exclusively using Apple's native frameworks. There are no integrations with advertising networks, analytics providers, social media platforms, crash reporting services, or any other external services.

6. Data Sharing

We do not share your data with anyone — because we do not have access to it. Since all data is stored locally and no network communication occurs, there is no mechanism by which your data could reach us or any third party. We do not sell, rent, license, or otherwise transfer any user data.

GlugHub includes an optional sharing feature that lets you share achievements or summaries via the standard iOS share sheet. This is entirely user-initiated — we do not receive a copy of anything you share.

7. Local Notifications

If you enable hydration reminders, GlugHub uses Apple's local notification system to schedule reminders on your device. These notifications are:

  • Opt-in only — you are asked for permission before any notifications are sent
  • Generated on-device — no notification tokens or user data are transmitted to any server
  • Fully controllable — disable at any time via the App or iOS Settings

We do not use push notifications. No server-side notification infrastructure is involved.

8. iCloud and Cloud Sync

GlugHub does not use iCloud or any cloud synchronization service. Your data is not synced to iCloud through GlugHub.

iOS's standard device-level iCloud backup, if enabled by you, may include local app data as part of a full device backup. This is outside GlugHub's control and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

9. Health Data Disclaimer

GlugHub helps you track daily water intake for general wellness purposes. GlugHub is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. The App does not connect to Apple HealthKit or any health data service.

10. Data Security

  • iOS App Sandbox — prevents other apps from accessing GlugHub's data
  • Encryption at Rest — data is protected by iOS data protection with hardware-level AES encryption on passcode-enabled devices
  • No Network Exposure — zero network connections, no server-side attack surface
  • No Third-Party Code — no third-party SDKs or libraries

11. Data Retention and Deletion

Data persists on your device for as long as the App is installed. You have complete control over your data:

  • Within the App: Settings → Reset All Progress to permanently erase all data
  • By uninstalling: deleting GlugHub removes all associated data, as iOS removes app sandboxes upon uninstallation

We do not retain any copies of your data. Once deleted, data cannot be recovered by us.

12. Your Rights

Because all data is stored locally and never transmitted to us, you have full control at all times:

  • Access — all data is visible in the App's interface
  • Deletion — delete all data via Settings or by uninstalling the App
  • Portability — use iOS device backup features to preserve your data

We do not act as a data controller under GDPR, CCPA, or similar regulations with respect to your in-app data because we never receive, access, or process it. For questions about your rights, contact us at contact@toonatek.com.

13. Children's Privacy

GlugHub is a general-audience wellness application not directed to children under 13. Because the App does not collect personal information from any user, no data from children is transmitted to us or any third party. No account registration or identifying information is requested. GlugHub complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) by operating entirely offline with no data collection.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top and make the updated policy available within the App Store listing. Your continued use of GlugHub after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
